La seguridad en zonas de trabajo en carreteras es una preocupación creciente alrededor del mundo; muchos países enfrentan la necesidad de reconstruir la infraestructura del transporte creada y terminada a mitad del siglo 20. Mientras existan usuarios conduciendo sus vehículos junto a trabajadores y equipo de construcción, siempre habrá situaciones de peligro que deben ser anticipadas, evitadas, evadidas o disminuidas. Entidades de gobierno dueñas de carreteras y constructores de las mismas pueden beneficiarse compartiendo información y aprendiendo de prácticas acertadas desarrolladas por otros estados, naciones o gobiernos locales. La página electrónica nacional de Información sobre seguridad en las carreteras (Clearinghouse) proporciona información y vínculos electrónicos a otras páginas en un esfuerzo para facilitar la comunicación y el aprendizaje promoviendo la seguridad en zonas de trabajo y usuarios de carreteras de todo el mundo.
/ Roadway work zone safety is a growing concern around the world and many countries face the need to rebuild transportation infrastructure that was initially completed in the last half of the 20th century. As roadway users travel adjacent to construction workers and equipment, hazardous situations may arise that must be anticipated, avoided, or abated. Roadway owners can benefit by sharing information and learning from successful practices developed by other states, nations and local governments. The National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse provides the following information and links in an effort to facilitate communication and learning that promotes work zone safety for users around the world.
