The Tenth Annual New Jersey Work Zone Safety Week Agenda emphasizes the importance of the transportation and construction industry in maintaining our economy. Our current Federal Administration has created additionally funded infrastructure projects to affect economic growth. These projects, changes in the 2009 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Part 6, and the updated Worker Visibility Rule have the potential to negatively impact motorist and worker safety, if not planned for and properly addressed. Recognizing that successful safety initiatives involve cooperative efforts, four targeted workshops are being sponsored by the New Jersey Work Zone Safety Partnership to reach a broader audience of transportation, safety, and construction workers directly responsible for safely rebuilding our nation, one project at a time! Register by completing the attached form and faxing it to Rutgers’ Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation- New Jersey Local Technical Assistance Program at (732) 445-5636. There is no charge for the program.
