The National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse offered FREE educational sessions in 2010 during World of Asphalt. Those "power workshops" focused on key work zone safety challenges that daily confront contractors, workers and public officials.
Professional Development Hours (PDH):

How to Safely Enter and Exit Work Zones
How do you create safe entry and exit points in roadway work zones for trucks and equipment? How can you create openings that will not “draw in” motorists? How do you prevent motorist from following dump trucks into the work space? We have gathered “best practices” from across the United States and will present them during this informative class that every construction manger and DOT inspector should attend!

Speed Management in Work Zones
State DOTs and other highway construction industry experts have identified the need for better guidance in setting speed limits and managing speeds in work zones. To maintain safe traffic operations, motorist speed should be inhibited as little as practical. However, reducing vehicle speeds is often important through work zones when workers are exposed to moving traffic without positive protection and when roadway restrictions and work operations present increased risks to motorists.How does one balance the motorist safety needs with worker safety needs? This session will take on that difficult question and provide some ideas on what the industry is doing!
