Campaign Name: Work Zone Safety Matters
Description: In 2010, CH2M HILL developed a Children’s Work Zone Safety Activity Book (see the PDF copy at the web site below) that they distributed to CH2M HILL employees and their children as well as to the public at their 2010 work zone safety public awareness campaign events. Children were invited to complete one sheet of the firm’s Work Zone Safety Activity Book and submit it the CH2M HILL Transportation Business Group Health and Safety Team. Each child who submitted their art received a CH2M HILL fabric lunch cooler with some cool goodies inside. There were more than 60 participants, and they were all happy to support work zone safety and get a prize. The team received phone calls and e-mails from employees telling them how their children were checking their mailboxes every day to see if the coolers had arrived. After receiving activity books back from children, they put together a display that represents submissions of work zone safety art and activities that children of CH2M HILL employees submitted.
