Title: Flagger
Description: This training session includes lectures, videos, and hands-on exercises to present the following: proper use of personal protective equipment, work zone components and types of operations, flagging procedures, proper and improper flagging operations, as well as communicating with workers and the public. This course is based on the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) standards. Participants are tested on their abilities and issued a certificate of completion along with a wallet-sized card to carry on their person. This course fulfills MoDOT specification 616.4.3.
Audience: Individuals who perform flagging and temporary traffic control activities on Missouri’s roadways. Also, individuals seeking qualification as MoDOT’s Work Zone Specialist are encouraged to take this course prior to taking the Advanced Work Zone-MoDOT course.
