Abstract: The new and extensively revised edition of the Highway Capacity Manual 2000 is available in metric unitons, as well as the U.S. customary system of units used in the traditional manual. In addition to improvements in current analysis methodologies, HCM 2000 includes a chapter in interchange ramp terminals, several chapters with material for planning uses of the manual, and a discussion of when simulation models should be used instead of the manual. The HCM is also published as a CD-ROM.
