Campaign Name: "Backseat Driver"
Description:
A Backseat Driver is a passenger in a vehicle who knows the rules of the road and is not shy to let the driver know when they are not being safe. The Maine Department of Transportation started the Backseat Driver Program in 2000 to spread the word about work zone safety. This program has two target groups: 4th Graders (web site & Poster Contest) and Employees (WZ Safety Contest). It runs each year since 2001.

Audio PSAS: A PSA sponsored by MaineDOT, Maine Turnpike Authority and Associated Constructors of Maine.
Video PSAS: Winning 4th grade class, other dignitaries. Winning poster in several parades.
