Title: Talking Operations: Work Zone Rule Implementation: What are States Doing to Implement the Rule?
Description: The Work Zone Safety and Mobility Rule was published on September 9, 2004 in the Federal Register. The Rule updates and broadens the former regulation at 23 CFR 630 Subpart J to address more of the current issues affecting work zone safety and mobility. All state and local governments that receive federal-aid funding are required to comply with the provisions of the Rule no later than October 12, 2007. As the compliance date nears, many agencies are looking for implementation guidance and best practices from other states. During this webinar, State DOTs will give presentations on the process they are each using to implement the Rule, as well as what they are each doing to comply with a specific aspect of the Rule.
