Practice Provision: Flagger certification and training
Description:
From Implementation of the NCDOT Work Zone Qualification & Training Program:
"Flagger Training is required for anyone who has to control traffic with a stop/slow paddle around a work crew. This does not include 'spotting traffic' for workers in the road less than 15 minutes. There is no on the job training (OJT) requirement for flagger qualification and should be refreshed every 4 years. "

Approved flagger training providers include: Institute of Transportation Research and Education (ITRE), American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA), Safety and Health Council of NC, Barnhill Contracting Company, Labor Finders, T. A. Loving Construction Services, Travelers Insurance, BRS, Inc., J.T. Russell & Sons, Inc., CCMangum, Inc., Ansco & Associates, LLC, Pipeline Utilities, Inc, Keeping-U-Safe, Piedmont Natural Gas, Coble Trench Safety, and PinPoint Safety, LLC.
