Title: Virginia Intermediate/TCS
Description: This course teaches concepts, techniques, and practices in the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices, specific to the Commonwealth of Virginia, legal aspects of temporary traffic control, installation and removal procedures, flagging procedures, and other considerations such as pedestrians, nighttime work, and urban areas. Several workshops included in this course are designed to provide hands on experience in designing temporary traffic control setups for various real life situations and recognizing, analyzing, and correcting deficiencies. These workshops also provide the opportunity for students to learn to work together as a team and to present solutions to the class.
Audience: Those who will be actively involved in designing or supervising temporary traffic control in Virginia work zones.
