Abstract: As the Fourth of July weekend nears, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) reminds drivers to slow down in work zones. IDOT will be suspending various lane closures throughout the state in order to provide motorists with a smoother and safer route to their holiday destination. However, due to the nature of the projects, some work zones would continue to have lane closures.
