In December of 2009, a Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) task force was formed to identify stakeholders and make recommendations to complete the review. The purpose of this review is to assess the effectiveness and consistency of work zone safety and mobility policies and practices at the project level for both design and construction. This report identifies several good practices but also identifies a number of items that are being implemented differently. As CDOT continues to develop their safety and mobility implementation guidelines these findings can act as a guide to improved these processes and procedures.
