Title: Reducing Work-Zone Traffic Accidents Goal of OSHA: Sunshine Safety Council Alliance Signing Ceremony Scheduled for Thurs., Dec. 11 in Daytona Beach
Abstract: The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Sunshine Safety Council, Inc., will hold a signing ceremony Dec. 11 in Daytona Beach, forming an alliance to reduce work-zone traffic accidents. This alliance will help employers, workers, and the public recognize and eliminate safety hazards that lead to work-zone accidents. OSHA and safety council officials agreed on a cooperative approach to reducing occupational transportation accidents. The common goal of both organizations is to save lives and to prevent accidents by sharing information, guidance, and training resources.
