Title: Work Zone Safety Questions and Answers
Abstract: As work zone safety awareness week continues, PENNDOT Engineering District 10 would like to offer its customers answers to many commonly asked questions about the new work zone safety laws. On February 21, 2003, a new Pennsylvania law went into effect to improve work zone safety by creating new requirements for highway contractors and motorists. On June 23, 2003, the second part of the law goes into effect. Quite often, new laws are difficult to interpret and understand and can create many questions pertaining to how the law affects the traveling public.
