Title: 2005 Work Zone Speed Limits

Abstract: Effective May 4, 2005, MDOT must comply with the following work zone speed limit changes. All M, US, and I routes with an existing speed limit of 50 mph or higher must have posted work zone speed limits of 45 miles per hour where channelizing devices are used to separate the work area from the traffic area. This includes shoulder closures with channelizing devices.
