Abstract: Truck-mounted attenuators (TMAs) are designed to absorb the energy
of an errant vehicle. All employees that drive a truck-mounted attenuator need to be trained in the proper methods of installation, transporting, setup, operations, and preventative maintenance of the unit. This course covers the contents as follows: Qualifications and Responsibility of a TMA driver; Crashworthy Devices; Equipment/Safety Concerns; Operational Issues; and Typical Scenarios.
