Abstract: Despite a slew of safety measures implemented for the safety of the workers in work zones, a driver recklessly ignored posted signs and ran into a work zone vehicle, killing the driver of the work zone vehicle. The incident occurred a week prior to the National Work Zone Awareness week, increasing pressure to promote responsible driving in work sites along public roads.
