The Advanced Dynamic Impact Extension Module (ADIEM™) utilizes lightweight crushable concrete modules that disasemble upon impact and provide an efficient energy-absorbing system. Features and benefits of this product include the following: No site-specific foundation pad needed, can be placed on existing surfaces such as concrete, asphalt or compacted soil/base material, composed of three component groups; reinforced concrete base, engineered lightweight concrete modules, and anchor brackets and Redirective capability [Beginning Length of Need at 15' (4.6 m) from nose]. In addition, this product is NCHRP Report 350 Test Level compliant is equipped with 102-mm X 51-mm X 4.8-mm steel tubes with tapered ends and C-shaped,76-mm X 76-mm X 6.35-mm, cold formed channel. The nose of the carrier arm is tapered over the first 3350 mm from an initial width of 305 mm at the groundline to a final width of 610 mm.
