Flagger certification and training
Description:
From Rhode Island Department of Transportation Compilation of Approved Specifications:
"Flagpersons must be trained in safe traffic control practices and public contact techniques, be thoroughly familiar with the most recent publication of the 'Flagging Handbook,' published by the Federal Highway Administration and must possess a certificate of satisfactory completion from a training course approved by the Department."
The Department has accepted certifications from the following organizations:
- National Safety council
- ATSSA
- Laborers Union Training Program
