Practice Provision: Work zone speed limit reduction
Description:
From the perspective of Caltrans' maintenance forces: The majority of the time Caltrans maintenance forces perform work within short-term operations and are not authorized to reduce speed limits. However, maintenance crews do utilize radar trailers in the work zone in an attempt to educate the public and thus have them reduce speed when in a work zone.
