Practice Provision: Top-mounted object markers for delineation of portable concrete barrier wall on highway projects or alternative devices
Description:
Alabama requires a small, flexible plastic substrate marker mounted on the top of concrete barrier in construction work zones. These plastic markers are covered with silver Type III reflective sheeting sized approximately 3"x4" spaced on 40' centers. These markers are generally adhered to the top of the barrier with epoxy or other adhesive. On some projects these markers are supplemented with raised pavement markers to delineate the edge of pavement or travel lane nearest the barrier.
