Description:
The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued a new rule on the use of cranes and derricks in construction, directly impacting thousands of industry firms. The final rule, designed to prevent work place hazards and fatalities, goes into effect on November 8, 2010. Presented by renowned attorney Steve Yohay of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C., this webinar will focus on key portions of the new Cranes and Derricks standard, including current training requirements, operator certification, power line safety and training for specialized functions (such as signaling). Federal OSHA's overall increased emphasis on enforcement and its efforts to stimulate enforcement by State Plans will also be reviewed.
