The FHWA Rule on Work Zone (WZ) Safety and Mobility (23 CFR 630 Subpart J) requires systematic consideration and management of work zone impacts throughout project development and implementation. Analysis of work zone impacts such as safety, mobility, and road-user costs, helps agencies in making informed decisions ranging from selection of appropriate construction methodology and schedule, maintenance of traffic alternative(s) and other traffic impact mitigation strategies to be included in Transportation Management Plans (TMPs), and contracting strategies. This webinar provided participants with information on various approaches and applications of work zone impact analysis. The webinar material was based on the upcoming Traffic Analysis Toolbox Vol. XII - Work Zone Traffic Analysis - Applications and Decision Framework.
The webinar was held June 19, 2012.
