Description: This class covers the basics of temporary traffic control for the protection of maintenance and utility work areas. The program covers Federal and State standards. Participants will learn:
The fundamental principles of traffic control from part VI of the MUTCD
Temporary traffic control zone components
Selection and placement of primary traffic control devices
Flagging principles including personnel qualifications, proper clothing & tools, correct positions and signals; the emphasis is on personal safety
