Title: Design and Application of Roadway Safety Features
Description: This course addresses roadside safety issues for design, construction, and maintenance personnel. It focuses on engineering principles and policies from the Washington State DOT "Design Manual" and "Standard Plans," and AASHTO's "Roadside Design Guide.
Audience: State and local engineering personnel and consultants with an interest in applying safe roadside design principles to their design, construction or maintenance activities. The course is appropriate for new and experienced engineering personnel making decisions about the adequacy of roadside features. Please bring a hand-held calculator to the class.
