Title: Alberta Temporary Traffic Control
Description:
Alberta traffic control technicians in partnership with American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) have designed this two-day course. The course will be delivered throughout the province of Alberta by traffic control experts (contract trainers) selected by ACSA in conjunction with industry representatives. This course will assist all parties involved in understanding and implementing temporary traffic control practices and procedures on construction work sites in the province of Alberta. Certification is valid for three years. The course objectives are to provide skills and knowledge of temporary traffic control practices, to create a safer work zone, and to establish consistent temporary traffic control procedures in Alberta. Upon completion of this course, participants learn to produce, coordinate, and apply temporary traffic control plans. They learn necessary skills to work towards being a traffic control technician/supervisor.
Audience: The target audience for this course is employees within your organization whom are involved in developing, assisting set up, or monitoring in the implementation of temporary traffic control plans.
