Title: Construction Safety
Description:
This course is designed to address the leading safety hazards that cause 90% of the injuries that occur during the construction process. The leading hazards are struck-by objects such as vehicles or falling objects; caught-in or between equipment/materials such as cave-ins, machinery or equipment; electrical shock or electrocution from contact with overhead power lines, power tools, outlets or other wiring; and falls from elevations like roofs, scaffolds, lifts, etc. While this course was designed primarily for commercial contractors, the first three topics presented could also apply to residential contractors. Note: The Fall Protection class specific to residential work will be presented on Friday afternoon.
