Title: Work Zone Traffic & General Construction Safety Training
Description: Designed to help students recognize unsafe work practices — helping reduce or eliminate hazards from the work environment. This course reinforces five “FOCUS” areas at the end of each section. Topics include: Proper traffic control plan for a specific work activity; safe set-up and take-down of traffic control on TxDOT roadways; safely respond to third party motorist needs and/or debris removal situations; perform or inspect flagging operations to insure safety and proper set-up; trench safety; fall protection awareness; hazards of heavy equipment in work zones; personal protection equipment, and confined space.
