Nevada DOT requires 20/30 minute specification, i.e. 20 minutes stop time for the first car with 30 minute total delay time (includes driving time) through a work zone. This limits work zone lengths to approximately 3 to 4 miles. Nevada limits the length of work zones during non-flagger/pilot car operations based on terrain.
