Public & Private Sectors Working Together to Improve Texas Highway Project Safety, ARTBA Chairman Says

Author/Presenter: Schneidawind, John
Abstract:

ARTBA is working with the Texas transportation construction industry and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) through the COVID-19 pandemic to improve traffic safety and significantly reduce worker injuries. ARTBA Chairman Steve McGough made remarks before the virtual Associated General Contractors of Texas and TxDOT Executive Safety Conference that ARTBA and Lone Star State transportation leaders have a long history of working together on a list of safety improvement initiatives. That includes implementation of the Safety Certification for Transportation Project Professionals (SCTPP) program and the partnership with Texas A&M Transportation Institute on the ARTBA-managed National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse.
