Push is on to Toughen Work Zone Laws

Minnesota contractors showed support for the proposed legislation that would make it illegal for motorists to use cell phones, including hands-free devices, in a road construction work zone when workers are present. According to a 2013 Associated General Contractors of America survey, 38 percent of highway contractors had motor vehicles crashed into their construction work zones in the previous year.
