This automated flagging device completely removes the flagger from the roadway. The system includes a remotely controlled stop/slow paddle, digital message board, and a panic air horn controlled from the cab of a truck. The TMA Flagger has been in use in Missouri since 2016. - North Dakota’s utilization of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for maintenance operations – Russ Buchholz
North Dakota recently received a four year waiver from the FAA to operate unmanned aircraft systems over people. North Dakota’s participation in the UAS Integration Pilot Program opens opportunities to evaluate a variety of applications for these systems.
